Mike Bartholomew - Cemetery Sexton

Michael A. Bartholomew is responsible for our beautiful cemeteries. He was born April 21, 1943 in Payson, Utah. Mike lived in Springville until 1949 when his family moved to a farm at the mouth of Hobble Creek Canyon. He attended schools in Springville and graduated from Springville High in 1961. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout that year. Mike served a mission for the LDS church in the Central Atlantic States Mission from 1962 to 1964. He married Barbara Jessee and they have eight children.

Mike graduated from BYU in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He started his career with Springville City in 1983 and became the cemetery sexton in April of 2000. He has been active in the community in the Springville Playhouse, the Shade Tree Commission, Parks Board and for a number of years he was over the safety training for City employees.
