Gary DeHeer - Tree Maintenance Worker II

Gary DeHeer was raised in Provo, Utah and he graduated from Provo High School in 2003. He worked for Provo City for five years on the tree crew and in the parks department. Gary started his career with Springville City in 2006 on the tree crew. He is a certified arborist with the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture). He is also a certified tree climber and aerial lift specialist. Gary was one of the first five in the state to receive aerial lift certification.

Gary is married to SanDee and they have two children, a son and a daughter. He feels very fortunate to have his dream job working with trees. Gary's duties include maintaining facilities, parks, cemeteries and street trees. This involves planting, trimming, removing and tending to the individual needs of each tree.

Gary enjoys woodworking, hunting and hiking.
